Guess How Much?

Anyone want to guess how much I spent?

Trip A: Publix

Trip A: Publix

Trip B: Walgreens

Trip B: Walgreens

My husband needed the car for most of the afternoon and evening, so I only had a brief amount of time to run out and do some deals.  (Hopefully I’ll get to do some more Publix deals before this the new sales start.)

The answer will be revealed on Tuesday morning! :)  Both trips combined were worth over $70!

Update: 73 cents!

    $8 would be good?

    Could you share how you managed to spend what you did? I am wondering HOW you did it.

    How I did it:

    * Publix:
    o used $5 off $20 purchase from Walgreen’s (competitor’s coupon)
    o had raincheck for BOGO on Voila meals @ $3.99 = ~$2 each
    o then used $2 off coupon = free
    o used Food Lion $1 off eggs
    o total is now $.08
    o had $3 more in coupons, but I had miscalculated–I could have gotten $3 more worth of stuff, but oh well, I was thankful anyway

    * Walgreens:
    o selected $21.00 in products (bought items that would earn me Register Rewards: toothbrush, crackers, and Rice Krispies)
    o used $1 off coupon for sugar
    o used $5 off $20 purchase
    o paid with $15.00 in Register Rewards
    o new total = $.65
    o I earned back $7 in Register Rewards, and still have $11.50 remaining that I will use again when another coupon come out

    Hope that makes sense! :) And hopefully I’ll do a better job in the future explaining the process beforehand!

    Great job!

    Do you mind to share where do you get the $2 Q for Voila meals? Your Publix must be very nice. Mine will only let me use the $5/20 only after all discounts and coupons. Yesterday, they won’t even accept the Walgreen Register rewards!!

    The $2 q’s are from Bi-Lo. Now that I think about it, that may have been the specifications for that particular coupon, though I had at least $3 more in coupons I could have used.

    It would be rare for a store to accept Register Rewards, but I’ve read that they can actually get money for those like manufacturer coupons. I asked my Publix if they would accept them. The first time they did, but apparently no longer will.
