A Few More Reasons Why I Like Publix…
Here are a few more reasons I like shopping at Publix…and you probably will too! Let’s just say, free baby stuff, free medicine, and groceries for a penny!
- Publix Baby Club
- Join the Publix Baby Club and you can receive coupons, a newsletter, and if it’s your first child, a free book. You can receive the coupons from the time you are expecting up until the time your child turns 2! I have received several coupons for totally free items (yes, you read that right–totally free!).
- There are several other clubs and programs that offer coupons, free items, and newsletters, such as the Preschool Pal’s and Publix Greenwise Market Magazine.
- Free Oral Antibiotics
- As stated on Publix website:
- Bring in your prescription for one of the oral antibiotics listed below to your neighborhood Publix Pharmacy and receive it FREE, up to a 14-day supply. There are no limits on the number of prescriptions you can have filled. And they’re FREE to you regardless of your prescription insurance provider!
- Amoxicillin, Cephalexin, Sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim (SMZ-TMP), Ciprofloxacin (excluding Ciprofloxacin XR), Penicillin VK, Ampicillin, Erythromycin Stearate and Ethylsuccinate, Doxycycline Hyclate (capsules)
- Publix Penny Items
- Did you know that every week you can buy something at Publix for just a penny?
- If you subscribe to or buy the weekend newspaper, your weekend paper ad will most likely have a Publix ad with a coupon that says “mystery item: use this coupon to find out what one penny will buy, and lists the dates the coupon is valid (Sunday and Monday*).”
- Your pre-coupon total must be $10
- The penny item may vary from store to store, and can range from anything from toilet paper to candy bars to hairspray to cereal.
- Some stores require the coupon in order to get the penny item, but many do not

We have 5 kids and we have been a part of this program with all of them. It really is a great program. And the book is great, I use it all the time.

We got a great CD ROM computer game from Publix around DD’s 3rd bday. It’s a wonderful little game that she plays nearly every day! Also, for her 3rd bday, they sent a cute (~10 piece) puzzle! I (heart) Publix!!
