$750 Budget: Week 4 Report

(No week 3, as I was out of town for father’s funeral)

Week 4 Spending: $5.98

Total left to spend for 2009: $725.30

Shopped at Bi-Lo (all food pictured is on produce manager’s special, at $1.49 a bag/container).  I also picked up 9 Jr. Frosties (froze several) from “free” coupons, and did a transaction for 3 bottles of shampoo at CVS (used extra care bucks and gift card=$0.00 out of pocket).  For some reason, my camera battery died as I was taking those pictures, and I do not have a picture.

We did go out to eat, but my husband paid decided we would pay for our $1.08 meal and tip with some money he made on a side job, rather than taking that out of the food budget.

We also celebrated our daughter’s first birthday frugal style–we didn’t spend any extra money–more on that to come!

I don’t shop at Bi-Lo much and had never heard of a produce manager’s special…but what a deal! When do they do that?

It’s good to have you back.
And I’m sorry about your Dad.

I am fairly certain that all of the local Bi-Lo’s do some sort of manager’s special. Most of them do this in the mornings, though some locations have better selections than others.
