Publix Perks: Cookies and Carts
If you shop with children, did you know that Publix has a Cookie Club? Just ask for a cookie at the bakery, and your children will have a FREE cookie to munch on as you make your way through the store. This is great for my little girl, who would otherwise rather be out of the cart and running through the aisles! (Of course, a cookie isn’t always the solution! :))
Another thing that is great for little kids are the fun carts. Cookie and cart combine for one happy little girl on shopping days! (But lots of trips to lots of stores…means…maybe not a cookie every time! ;P)

The Food City here in TN does that too. Drew is a little older and I usually get the cookie at the end if he has behaved during the whole trip. He eats it in line when we are checking out. He is “less” tempted to pull the candy off the rack with the cookie in hand

That’s a great idea! I will have to try that in a few months. I didn’t know you read this site.:)

Wow! I have 5 kids that all come to Publix with me at least once a week, and no one has ever told me this!!! Boy, this could really make our trips go better. So all I have to do is ask?

Yes, you can just ask at the bakery counter. The options are almost always chocolate chip or sugar cookie.
I’ve heard that you can get a card for each child, but no one has ever mentioned that to me when I ask for the cookie.
You are an amazing woman! I hope to follow in your steps one day. Hopefully Publix will still have good deals by that time.
