An Easy Way to Earn $10 Gift Cards!

To meet several financial goals, we’ve tried to limit most of our spending to the essentials this year, and even for those things we try to find ways to spend less or to get things for free. I have really enjoyed using Swagbucks to earn Amazon gift cards (stay tuned if you haven’t joined yet, there’s going to be a very special promo just for Saving in Greenville readers very soon!), and it’s been nice to be able to set goals for my reading and not have to spend a dime on my books.
So it goes without saying that I’m excited when I hear of opportunities to earn free gift cards, and I recently heard of a great deal (that really works!) that I’ll share here:
With Shop It to Me, you can earn $10 gift cards to the following stores:
Ann Taylor
Banana Republic
Bloomingdales
Gap
J.Crew
Macy’s
Nordstrom
Starbucks
Urban Outfitters
How to Get Your Gift Card
To receive an invitation to Shop It To Me and to start earning your gift card, just e-mail me by clicking here or leave a comment saying you’d like an invitation and I’ll send you an invitation. (The invitation expires 72 hours from the time you receive the e-mail link.)
Once you accept my invitation, you can then start inviting your friends and make progress toward earning the gift card of your choice! For every 10 friends who accept your invitation to join Shop It To Me, you can choose a $10 gift card to any of the stores listed above. These would make great gifts or just fun to use yourself!

It seems like this is a multi level marketing scheme. I’m not quite sure I’m comfortable trading my information and that of my friends for $1 a head. I guess if that’s OK with you, you can do it, but I personally shy away from such things.

They obviously are able to pay for gift cards because of advertising; however, you do not have to give out any personal information other than your first name (which you could of course use a nickname), e-mail address, and zip code.
Since I have a separate Gmail account set up for such things and a lot of others do the same for couponing, etc., I would think that the only place where you would see “spam” would be through that specific account.

This is not multi level marketing at all. Shop it To Me was actually even mentioned on Good Morning America this week! If you share the word with your friends, Shop it to me will send you gift cards. They also alert you to super cheap deals. It’s as simple as that. The site is useful whether you use it to get free gift cards or not!
