$750 Budget: Week 2 Report

Week 2 Spending: $3.31

Total left to spend for 2009: $731.28

Shopped at Publix; did 3 transactions (pasta was the Publix Penny item)

Best coupons:

  • $3 off any Gerber Food item (gave me overage); details here: still available
  • $1 off any Muir Glen (also gave overage); coupons here and here
  • $1 off Jolly Time popcorn (makes it free) here

(Thoughts… This was from the week I left to go be with my parents, but I wasn’t able to post sooner.  I missed a week of shopping, but since we’ve had extra people with us in the first weeks of January and will have more family with us in the coming weeks, it will be nice to have a little more padding in our food budget for the extra mouths. Plus, there were travel expenses, though that’s a different budget. In case you’re wondering, our pantry is stocked on pretty much everything, with the exception of fresh produce and a few other items. So most of my shopping is just keeping the pantry full. :))
