A Few More Reasons Why I Like Publix…

Here are a few more reasons I like shopping at Publix…and you probably will too!  Let’s just say, free baby stuff, free medicine, and groceries for a penny!

  • Publix Baby Club

    • Join the Publix Baby Club and you can receive coupons, a newsletter, and if it’s your first child, a free book.  You can receive the coupons from the time you are expecting up until the time your child turns 2!  I have received several coupons for totally free items (yes, you read that right–totally free!).
    • There are several other clubs and programs that offer coupons, free items, and newsletters, such as the Preschool Pal’s and Publix Greenwise Market Magazine.

Frosted Mini-Wheat’s Money Maker at Publix

Not only can you get a cereal for $1 or less at Publix, but you can also get a $10 gift card to Publix for your efforts!

Here’s how:

  • Kellogg’s Frosted Mini-Wheat’s cereals are on sale at Publix for $3.99, BOGO = ~$2.00/box
  • use $1/1 printable coupons from coupons.com found on the top right sidebar on this site
    • To print: If the coupons are showing, click on the gray area at the top of the bar that says “show all coupons.” Then select all coupons that say “Kelloggs cereal, save $1.00…”
    • You should be able to select 5 coupons (and print them 2x = 10 coupons)
    • You will need to buy some of the variety flavors of Frosted Mini-Wheats if the coupons specify this).
  • use the Food Lion $1/1 any Kellogg’s cereal here ** as a competitor’s coupon
  • Price after coupons: free!

Make it a Moneymaker (=get a $10 Publix Gift Card):

  • Pick up a copy of “New You,” a free publication put out by Publix (many available at the McBee Station Publix)
  • Inside, there is an insert for “Buy any 4 participating products (in one transaction), get a free $10 gift card to the store where purchased.”   Guess what happens to be one of those products?  Yep–Frosted Mini Wheats!
  • You do need to purchase all 4 boxes in one transaction, but even without any coupons, you will still pay only $8 for 4 products, and get the $10 gift card.
  • Mail in the cardboard insert (from magazine) along with your receipts and 4 UPC’s, as specified on the card.  Must be postmarked by 11/24/08.
  • Depending on whether or not your Publix will accept Food Lion coupons as competitor’s coupons, you can pay anywhere from $4 to $0 and get a $10 gift card!  Now that’s my kind of deal!

**As always, remember: you can only print out Food Lion coupons once, but you can print as a PDF.

Note: If you are going to print these, you may want to do so immediately before everyone finds out about this deal–there is often a limited number of these coupons available for print.
