Our Coffee Has Come!

My husband’s order from Gevalia with the $3 deal came on Friday!  He was so excited to see it arrive, and tried the mug out on Saturday morning!  Unlike his other mug, we could “close” the lid, and then turn it completely upside down without a single drop coming out.

Total value? around $30–that’s a savings of 90%!

The mug and 3 boxes of coffee cost just $3!  If you haven’t taken advantage of this deal, you can do so by ordering here.  (If you want to read more about it, here’s my original post.)

If you did take advantage and have received your package, don’t forget to cancel unless you want to continue receiving coffee shipments (and billings).  Just call 1-800-GEVALIA to do so.

The Total?

The total spent on the Walgreens and Publix shopping trips?

Publix: $.08

Walgreens: $.65

= $.73

I prayed about these trips before I went, and thank the Lord for answering my specific prayers.  But I also rejoice that He is always good, even when I can’t find the groceries I’m looking for or when my coupons don’t work! :)

How I did it:

  • Publix:
    • used $5 off $20 purchase from Walgreen’s (competitor’s coupon)
    • had raincheck for BOGO on Voila meals @ $3.99 = ~$2 each
    • then used $2 off coupon = free
    • used Food Lion $1 off eggs
    • total is now $.08
    • had $3 more in coupons, but I had miscalculated–I could have gotten $3 more worth of stuff, but oh well, I was thankful anyway
  • Walgreens:
    • selected $21.00 in products (bought items that would earn me Register Rewards: toothbrush, crackers, and Rice Krispies)
    • used $1 off coupon for sugar
    • used $5 off $20 purchase
    • paid with $15.00 in Register Rewards
    • new total = $.65
    • I earned back $7 in Register Rewards, and still have $11.50 remaining that I will use again when another coupon come out

Hope that makes sense! :)  And hopefully I’ll do a better job in the future explaining the process beforehand!

Guess How Much?

Anyone want to guess how much I spent?

Trip A: Publix

Trip A: Publix

Trip B: Walgreens

Trip B: Walgreens

My husband needed the car for most of the afternoon and evening, so I only had a brief amount of time to run out and do some deals.  (Hopefully I’ll get to do some more Publix deals before this the new sales start.)

The answer will be revealed on Tuesday morning! :)  Both trips combined were worth over $70!

Update: 73 cents!
